Finding My Place Between Two Worlds

Growing up Mexican-American meant I never felt like I fully belonged. In Mexico, I was “too American,” and in the U.S., I was “too Mexican.” So, I created a space where I could be both—and where others could feel that same sense of belonging.

I started sharing recipes about three years ago, but it quickly became more than just food. My content became a way to reconnect with my culture, in my own way—and it turns out, so many others were feeling the same way too.

From Foster Mom to Full-Time Creator

Before becoming a stay-at-home mom to my two beautiful kids, I was a foster parent. Life shifted once I had my own children, and I stepped into a new chapter.

Even while staying home, I’ve always looked for ways to create income. I sold at the swap meet, posted on OfferUp, and never stopped dreaming.

Now, with a degree in Political Science and a growing online platform, I’m blending all my passions: parenting, culture, creativity, and entrepreneurship. Through content creation, I’ve built skills in storytelling, digital marketing, and audience engagement—turning my passion into a sustainable business.

Daisy’s Tiendita: A Business With Purpose

Daisy’s Tiendita is my second business, created to support and uplift local Mexican artisans, especially women. The Mercado bags, table runners, and other pieces you see are handmade by hardworking artesanos in Mexico, including a group of single mothers I’m proud to work with.

I never haggle with their prices. What you see listed reflects the fair value of their time, craft, and tradition. This shop is more than a store. It’s a bridge between cultures, a love letter to our roots, and a way to shop with purpose.
